Our Mission

The Little School is a micro preschool environment in LoHi Denver in an adorable Victorian-style home. We are creating a home away from home the children can return to.

We have two classrooms our first classroom The Rainbow Room has a 6 children to 1 teacher ratio for our 2’s & 3’s age group. Our 1’s & young 2’s is The Sunshine Room 4 children to 1 teacher. We are hoping to open our infant classroom in the fall / winter 2025.

We are creating an inclusive environment for students to form deep connections at a young age and to build community through family connections.

With our low ratios, the teachers can track the milestones while working closely with families. Students will build important development skills through an environment that supports this. Students will develop social and emotional skills through close friends thus forming a small community of families to create success for each student. Students will be introduced to play-based learning styles, Montessori styles of teaching, and interest-based learning. We follow themes for each week & all activities are related to each.

Our WHY

Let’s change the system in our own backyard. Can we pay teachers better? Can we teach children how to process their emotions in a healthy way? Can we build a community we can call on at anytime?

Classroom design

This will be an environment of kindness, compassion, and the love of learning. Offering classrooms with a max of 6 students. Connecting each pod with a qualified teacher to help support the community. In many ways very similar to a nanny-share with the support of a school setting, trackable milestones, curriculum for each learned, and consistent care.

Community Creation

There are family offerings, such as movie nights, organized playdates, and many more activities to connect the community. Follow us on social media to see what we are up to.

  • A deposit of $30 will ensure that we are planning with your family, to create space for your child in the future.

  • Once your child has been added to the waitlist and your family receives your acceptance letter. Registering will officially fill a spot for your ideal coverage dates. Annually in August or at the time of enrollment, there is a $100 non-refundable fee.
